Starting on the Tileset
First thing Monday morning I started to build up a toolbox of meshes to make the tileset from, for example different windows, different sizes of corrugated metal, different planks etc, and then I built them into 18 different wall peices to see what I could get done with them. Obviously these are really basic and its just the starting place.

In engine I started to play around to see what I could create.

From this exercise I learnt a coupole of things, chamfering the corners of the walls was a bad idea as you get lines all over the bigger buildings... should have realised that. This means that I have asked Elliott to add corner peices to the functionality list for the building blueprint which will mean we can get some nice detail on the edges of the buidlings. I also realised that the area that needs the most time is the slum-styled buildings which will need to be focused on and the typical redbrick buildings should follow suit afterwards.
